Director CDx Partnering - Field based in Europe buy in US, Free Classifieds Ads

The location for this position will be in France, Switzerland or Germany.

The Director of Pharma Alliance evaluates, identifies, and manages new strategic companion diagnostic partnerships with non-Roche Pharmaceutical partners. As a key member of Ventana s companion diagnostics partnering group, the role is accountable for account and relationship management for up to 10 different partners. In addition, may lead 1-2 alliance managers for the accounts that the Director oversees. Monitors work to ensure quality, and continuously promote Quality First Time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Identifies international personalized healthcare product development opportunities that serve customers located globally.

Collaborates with unit leadership and Ventana Legal Department to negotiate Master Collaboration Agreements for customers requiring multiple projects.

Negotiates Project Plan Budgets that meet Ventana s and the customer s financial requirements for sponsored research agreements.

Facilitates negotiations of key legal agreements such as Material Transfer Agreements, Confidentiality agreements, Scope Change agreements, and Project amendments

Executes cross-BA ("One Roche") alignment across Roche Diagnostics oncology-focused companion diagnostics partnering efforts, including efforts with Roche Molecular, Roche Professional, and Roche Sequencing Unit.

Supports sales efforts across Roche Diagnostics Regional commercial organizations offering products to pharma partners, including Roche Diagnostics Corporation s Integrated Pharma Group and EMEA/ LATAM s Life Science Alliance groups.

Develops a strong pipeline of new business and qualified leads.

Works closely with the CDx International Business Team to represent alliance partner integration.

May perform other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Formal Training/Education:

Bachelor s degree in life science. M. B. A. is strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years business experience including prior tactical and/or strategic marketing and sales experience with a heavy emphasis on sales experience.

Experience at assessing companion diagnostic opportunities for strategic fit with corporate plans.

Experience in healthcare markets; must have a high degree of comfort with scientific issues including technical aptitude.

Experience with the establishment of contracts, pricing strategies and monitoring.

Demonstrated experience conducting market assessments, partner drug candidate asset valuations, and IP analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of worldwide pharmaceutical markets, including product development strategies, regulatory environment, technology sources, and global commercialization.

Working knowledge of worldwide in vitro diagnostic markets, including product development strategies, regulatory environment, technology sources, and global commercialization.

Knowledge of and skill in managing, coaching and developing employees.

Ability to identify market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on these.

Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and changing environment.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
